MEDIA PREVIEW: FIRST LOOK AT ALL-NEW WEST STADIUM CLUB, NEW TEAM RETAIL STORE, AND BUCCANEERS LOCKER ROOM AT RAYMOND JAMES STADIUM

On Thursday, August 24, at 1:00 p.m.., the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, along with the Tampa Sports Authority, Hillsborough County and the City of Tampa will host a press conference in the all-new West Stadium Club to offer media the first look at this year’s renovations at Raymond James Stadium. The latest enhancements, which are part of a multi-year, $150 million renovation project, are highlighted by a completely redesigned West Stadium Club, a new team retail store, expansion of the highly successful Hall of Fame Club, and a new Buccaneers locker room. B-Roll and interview opportunities will be available. (more)

MEDIA ALERT - BUCCANEERS TO HOST SPECIAL OLYMPICS FLORIDA AT TRAINING CAMP

On Sunday, August 20, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will carry on an annual tradition of hosting athletes from Special Olympics Florida at training camp. More than 50 athletes from Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, and Polk counties will watch a portion of the team’s morning practice and then take the field to enjoy football drills with Buccaneers players including quarterback Jameis Winston. The event is another example of the team’s PLAY 60 efforts, part of a league-wide initiative to encourage fans to eat healthy and participate in physical activity for at least 60 minutes every day. Buccaneers Cheerleaders and Captain Fear will also take photos, sign autographs and visit with the Special Olympics athletes at the conclusion of practice. (more)

MEDIA ALERT - 2017 WOMEN OF RED: THE TAKEOVER

On Friday, August 18, thousands of Tampa Bay Buccaneers female fans will descend upon Raymond James Stadium for the ultimate football party: 2017 Women of RED: The Takeover, supported by Moffitt Cancer Center. A night full of football and fun will feature all-new experiences, including an exclusive live discussion with Buccaneers players Ali Marpet, Clinton McDonald, and 2017 first-round draft pick O.J. Howard. Unique opportunities like listening into quarterback Jameis Winston’s radio helmet before he calls a play, talking with Buccaneers scouts about player analysis, and learning how the league’s schedule-makers map out the complete NFL schedule are just some of the interactive discussions and hands-on activities for female fans to enjoy. The Takeover will build off the breakthrough success of the first two Women of RED season kickoff events which, since the launch of the program, have connected the Buccaneers with thousands of female fans.
