Transcript: Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2017 Media Availability (10/13/17)

BUC BIT OF THE DAY: RB Doug Martin has 24 career rushing touchdowns and, with a rushing touchdown at Arizona, would pass Errict Rhett for the third-most rushing touchdowns in franchise history.
Below is a transcript of Head Coach Dirk Koetter’s earlier media availability:
(On whether there are any players officially ruled out for Sunday yet)
“Yes, there is.”
(On whether he is comfortable with playing with four defensive ends if needed)
“No, you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do. We’re going to get the best 46 guys we can to help us do our jobs in Arizona. When your injuries mount up, you only have so many options. Depending on the length of those injuries, that’s the tricky part. If it’s something that requires IR for Return, that’s always the part that Jason [Licht] is weighing, how many weeks is a guy going to be out? We are constantly battling that.”
(On defensive lineman Will Clarke)
“I think it’s a good pick-up. We like the guy. He’s playing on special teams. He’s learning our system. He’s definitely got some talent. I think he had four sacks last year. His role is going to go up. If [defensive end] Ryan Russell is out, his role is going to go up.”
(On who will be kicking off)
“It’s going to be [kicker Pat] Murray.”
(On kicker Patrick Murray’s performance this week in practice)
“He looks like an NFL kicker. He looks like he is supposed to look; go out there and make his kicks.”
(On how long the kick was that Murray made during his tryout on Monday)
“I’m not sure. I didn’t have my tape measure out there.”
(On whether he goes into the game knowing a line for Murray in the game)
“We have a line kind of for everybody. You have your line and if it’s an outdoor game, [it is] based on conditions. If it’s an indoor game, you’ve got your line and then you’ve got your emergency line.”
(On where Murray’s “line” is)
“I’m not going to say that.”
(On whether he can kick from 55 yards out)
“Yeah, most kickers, you’re going to say that your regular line is around the 35, which would be a 53 [yard field goal] and your emergency line is going to be somewhere around 56. That’s how most kickers are depending upon conditions, which are going to be perfect.”
(On whether he would feel comfortable playing a guy who has been limited during practice this week)
“Limited is a relative word. Again, these guys are professional football players. Nobody’s going to get medically cleared if they’re not ready to play in the game. That’s a medical decision and if guys are cleared, if they’re cleared to play then they are cleared to play. If they’re on the 46, they have to be ready to play the whole game.”
(On whether being “limited” during practice could still mean they are playing at 90 percent)
“Our guys have been working. You’ll see when you get the injury report who’s going to be in and who’s going to be out.”
(On whether he is excited about what he has in terms of player availability for Sunday)
“Of course, of course. Shoot, whoever our 46 guys are up, I am as excited as I can be. Don’t I look it?”
