2010 DRAFT PICK P BOWDEN SIGNED; WR BRADLEY RELEASED
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today that they have signed 2010 draft selection P Brent Bowden to a four-year contract.
Bowden was the Buccaneers sixth-round selection (172nd overall) in this year’s NFL Draft out of Virginia Tech. As a three-year starter with the Hokies, Bowden punted 214 times for 9,022 yards with 72 punts inside the 20-yard line and 28 touchbacks. He finished his career with a 36.4 net average and a 42.2 gross average, ranking second in school history. Bowden is one of just four players who punted more than 200 times in a career for the Hokies and one of only two Tech players to generate over 9,000 yards punting in their career.
The team also announced they have released WR Mark Bradley. Bradley originally joined the Buccaneers after being claimed off waivers from the Kansas City Chiefs on December 23, 2009.
