The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today that the team has signed cornerback Senquez Golson to the practice squad and re-signed wide receiver Freddie Martino to the practice squad.
Golson (5-9, 176) originally entered the league as a second-round pick (56th overall) of the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2015 NFL Draft. Golson, who played collegiately at Mississippi, spent the 2015 and 2016 seasons on Injured Reserve. The Pascagoula, Mississippi native spent this past offseason and preseason with Pittsburgh, before being waived on September 2. He will wear No. 31 for Tampa Bay.
Martino (6-0, 195) was promoted to Tampa Bay’s active roster on November 8 after spending the first 10 weeks of the season on the team’s practice squad. He played in one game, recording two special teams tackles, before being waived on November 13. Martino will wear No. 16 for Tampa Bay.
The team also announced that DE Patrick Gamble and CB David Rivers have been released from the practice squad.
