BUCCANEERS PROMOTE WR ADAM HUMPHRIES TO ACTIVE ROSTER

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today that they have promoted wide receiver Adam Humphries from the practice squad to the active roster.
                                                                                                                                                 
The team also announced that they have signed wide receiver Andre Davis, offensive lineman Ryan Groy, defensive tackle Derrick Lott and linebacker Julian Stanford to the practice squad.
 
Davis (6-1, 211) played collegiately at the University of South Florida and entered the NFL this past offseason as a college free agent with the Buffalo Bills. Davis spent the offseason and preseason with Buffalo, before being waived prior to the start of the regular season. He will wear No. 19 for Tampa Bay.
 
Groy (6-5, 320) originally entered the league in 2014 with the Chicago Bears as a college free agent out of Wisconsin. He played in four games, with three starts, for Chicago during the 2014 season, while also seeing time on the team’s practice squad. This past offseason, Groy was traded to the New England Patriots, before being waived prior to the start of the regular season. He will wear No. 72 for Tampa Bay.
 
Lott (6-4, 314) and Stanford (6-1, 230) re-join the Buccaneers, with each having spent time on the team’s practice squad this season. Lott will wear No. 75 and Stanford will wear No. 59.
