BUCCANEERS PROMOTE WR FREDDIE MARTINO FROM PRACTICE SQUAD; WAIVE LB JOSH KEYES

Team Also Signs DE Ryan Russell to Practice Squad
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today that the team has promoted wide receiver Freddie Martino from the practice squad and waived linebacker Josh Keyes.
                                                                                                                   
Martino (6-0, 195), originally entered the league with the Atlanta Falcons in 2014, as a college free agent out of North Greenville. Martino spent the 2014 season with the Falcons, seeing time on both the team’s practice squad and active roster, appearing in one game. After spending the 2015 offseason and preseason with Atlanta, Martino was waived. He signed with the Philadelphia Eagles and spent the 2015 season on the team’s practice squad. He spent this past offseason and preseason with Tampa Bay and has been on the team’s practice squad through two weeks. He wears No. 16 for the Buccaneers.
 
The team also announced that defensive end Ryan Russell has been signed to the practice squad. Russell (6-5, 275) originally entered the league as a fifth-round pick (163rd overall) of the Dallas Cowboys in the 2015 NFL Draft. The Carrolton, Texas native, who played collegiately at Purdue, spent the 2015 season with Dallas, appearing in one game. He was with the Cowboys this past offseason and preseason. Russell will wear No. 96 for Tampa Bay.
