BUCCANEERS PROMOTE WR FREDDIE MARTINO FROM PRACTICE SQUAD
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today that the team has promoted wide receiver Freddie Martino from the practice squad to the active roster and signed defensive end Patrick Gamble to the practice squad.
Martino (6-0, 195) has spent this season on the team’s practice squad, after joining Tampa Bay as a free agent in 2016. Last season, the North Greenville product played in 13 games for the Buccaneers, catching eight passes for 142 yards and one touchdown. A native of North, South Carolina, Martino wears No. 16 for Tampa Bay.
Gamble (6-5, 277) originally entered the league as a college free agent with the New York Jets this past offseason, spending the offseason and preseason with the Jets before being waived. A native of Carrollton, Georgia, Gamble played collegiately at Georgia Tech. He will wear No. 78 for Tampa Bay.
