The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today the re-signing of safety Chris Conte.
Conte (6-2, 203) started 13-of-14 games for Tampa Bay last season, tallying 78 tackles, six tackles for loss, six passes defensed, two interceptions, two forced fumbles and one special teams tackle.
Prior to spending the 2015 season with the Buccaneers, Conte spent four seasons with the Chicago Bears (2011-14). In his career, Conte has started 65-of-71 games, recording 303 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 27 passes defensed, 11 interceptions, three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery, with six special teams tackles.
