Hawley (6-2, 302) joins the Buccaneers after spending five seasons with the Atlanta Falcons (2010-15). A native of Bakersfield, California, Hawley was drafted by the Falcons in the fourth round (117th overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft out of UNLV. He has played in 57 career regular season games, with 23 starts, and has started 1-of-2 career postseason contests.
During his time in Atlanta, Hawley was part of an offensive line that helped block for Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan, who averaged 272.6 passing yards during that time (eighth-most in the NFL), throwing 143 touchdown passes (sixth-most in the NFL) for a 93.2 passer rating (ninth-best in the NFL), while being sacked on only 4.8 percent of his dropbacks (sixth-fewest in the NFL, min. 1,000 attempts).
The team also announced that they have waived guard/center Eric Kush. Kush was claimed off of waiver from Kansas City on September 6.
