The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today that the team has signed defensive end Evan Panfil.
Panfil (6-5, 270) played collegiately at Purdue, appearing in 43 games (2013-16), totaling 76 tackles (20.5 for loss), 9.0 sacks and one forced fumble. A native of New Lenox, Illinois, Panfil played in 12 games with the Boilermakers as a senior, leading the team in tackles for loss (12.0) and tying for the team lead in sacks (5.0). Panfil participated in Tampa Bay’s rookie mini-camp this past weekend as a tryout player. He will wear No. 72 for the Buccaneers.
Tampa Bay’s roster is now at the 90-player limit.
