BUCCANEERS SIGN SAFETY SHELTON JOHNSON TO PRACTICE SQUAD

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today announced that they have signed safety Shelton Johnson to the practice squad.

Johnson (6-0, 195) originally entered the league as a college free agent with the Oakland Raiders last season. He spent the first 13 weeks of the 2013 season on the Raiders’ practice squad, before being promoted to the active roster for the final four games of the season, where he notched one tackle, one fumble recovery and three special teams tackles. Johnson, who played collegiately at Wisconsin, spent this past offseason with Oakland before being released on August 14. He will wear No. 26 for Tampa Bay.
