BUCCANEERS TRADE S BARRON TO RAMS & LB CASILLAS TO PATRIOTS

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today announced that they have traded safety Mark Barron to the St. Louis Rams and linebacker Jonathan Casillas to the New England Patriots, for undisclosed draft picks.
                                                                                             
Barron was drafted by the Buccaneers in the first round (seventh overall) in 2012. In three seasons with Tampa Bay, Barron has started all 37 games he has played, totaling 224 tackles, 20 passes defensed, seven tackles for loss, three interceptions for 15 yards, two sacks, two passes defensed, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble.
 
Casillas signed as a free agent with Tampa Bay in 2013, appearing in 17 games with seven starts over two seasons, totaling 34 tackles, two tackles for loss, two passes defensed, one forced fumble and nine special teams tackles.
