BUCCANEERS WAIVE DT MASIFILO; SIGN THREE TO PRACTICE SQUAD

Team Also Waives LB Alexander & FB Pryor
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today announced that they have waived defensive tackle Matthew Masifilo from the 53-man roster and released linebacker Mister Alexander and fullback Lonnie Pryor from the practice squad. The team also signed linebacker Denicos Allen, tight end Ted Bolser and tackle Matt Patchan to the practice squad.
 
Allen (5-11, 225), who played collegiately at Michigan State, entered the NFL as a college free agent with the Carolina Panthers in 2014. He spent the 2014 offseason and preseason with the Panthers, before being waived on August 30 and signing with the St. Louis Rams’ practice squad. Allen was on the Rams’ practice squad until being released on October 21.
 
Bolser (6-5, 249) entered the league as a seventh-round selection (217th overall) in the 2014 NFL Draft by the Washington Redskins. Bolser, who played collegiately at Indiana, spent the offseason and preseason with Washington, signing onto their practice squad prior to the start of the regular season. He was released from their practice squad on October 7.
 
Patchan (6-7, 300) re-joins Tampa Bay after signing with the Buccaneers as a college free agent this offseason. Patchan was waived on September 1 after spending the offseason and preseason with Tampa Bay. He played high school football at Armood High School in Seffner, Florida, before spending four years at the University of Florida. He transferred to Boston College for his final year of eligibility.
