Fans of All Ages Can Seige the Day as Tampa Bay Gears Up for Sept. 13 Season Opener
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will kick off the regular season in front of a home crowd on Sunday, Sept. 13, as teams throughout the NFL get Back to Football. All next week, as the Buccaneers gear up to Seige the Titans at Raymond James Stadium, fans of all ages throughout Tampa Bay will celebrate ‘Back to Football Week’ through a variety of team events and community initiatives. TUESDAY, SEPT. 8: BACK TO FOOTBALL FORUM
WITH THE TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS LUNCHEON
 
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers invite local business leaders and fans to enjoy lunch and a 2015 season preview with Buccaneers Co-Chairman Bryan Glazer, Head Coach Lovie Smith and General Manager Jason Licht, along with various players, at the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay (2900 Bayport Drive, Tampa, FL 33607) for the Back to Football Forum with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Luncheon. The event, which will run on Tuesday, Sept. 8 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., is hosted by the St. Petersburg, Clearwater and Greater Tampa Chambers of Commerce. WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 9: BUCCANEERS ACADEMY BACKPACK CARAVAN
 
While getting ready to kick off the season on the football field, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are proud to also help kick off the school year for young Bay-area fans with the Buccaneers Academy Backpack Caravan. On Wednesday, Sept. 9, in partnership with Alert Today Florida, team representatives will deliver more than 11,000 backpacks to students at each of the 24 Buccaneers Academies around Tampa Bay. The Buccaneers have proudly created 24 official Buccaneers Academies to show their commitment to inspire, equip and celebrate future generations in the Bay area. Through the Buccaneers Academies initiative, the team supports more than 14,000 students and 1,000 teachers with year-long classroom programs designed to empower and challenge students to learn, discover and believe in themselves every day. The Buccaneers Academy Backpack Caravan will kick off at Mort Elementary School (1806 E. Bearss Ave., Tampa, FL 33613) at 8:00 a.m. While media is encouraged to attend, this event is not open to the public.
 
WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 9: EAT AT JOE’S WITH THE BUCS
 
Kick off the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ season in style – Latin style – with the return of the Eat at Joe’s lunchtime concert series on Wednesday, Sept. 9 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Joe Chillura Courthouse Square, at the corner of Pierce St. and Kennedy Blvd. in downtown Tampa. To celebrate the upcoming Hispanic Heritage Month, as well as the start of football season, the event will feature a tasty blend of food, fun, and entertainment for football fans and lovers of Latin culture. Fans can also get autographs from Buccaneers Legends, check out the Bucs Street Team and Kids Zone, watch a performance by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Cheerleaders, and enjoy various food truck vendors. During Eat at Joe’s Latin Style, Buccaneers fans can sign up for the chance to win a family 4-pack of tickets to the Tennessee Titans vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers home opener at Raymond James Stadium on Sept. 13. SATURDAY, SEPT. 12: BACK TO FOOTBALL CELEBRATION
AT THE GLAZER CHILDREN’S MUSEUM
 
One day before the season kicks off, kids can get Back to Football with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the Glazer Children’s Museum. On Saturday, Sept. 12 from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m., children and families can learn a few dance moves from the Buccaneers Cheerleaders, join Captain Fear in navigating PLAY 60 drills, have their vision checked at the Bucs Vision Mobile powered by the Glazer Family Foundation, and make their own Bucs fan gear. Guests wearing Buccaneers apparel will receive a $3 admission discount and will be entered for a chance to win tickets to the Buccaneers’ home opener on Sept. 13. Admission is free for children under the age of 1; admission for children ages 1-12 is $6.50; adult admission is $12; admission for military, teachers and seniors is $9.50 (cost reflects discount for guests wearing Buccaneers apparel).
