Girls Flag Football Teams from 12 Local High Schools to Compete in FHSAA-Sanctioned Event at One Buccaneer Place
On Friday, March 4 and Saturday, March 5, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will welcome girls flag football teams from 12 local high schools to One Buccaneer Place to compete in the inaugural Buccaneers Preseason Classic. The event, which is sanctioned by the Florida High School Athletic Association, coincides with preseason classic flag football tournaments taking place throughout Florida from February 29 – March 5, prior to the start of regular season competition on March 7. Each team will have the opportunity to compete in two games against schools from a different county, offering local student athletes a valuable, unique experience in preparation for the start of the season. Competitions begin at 3:00 p.m. each day, and will include the following high schools: Alonso, Apopka, Boca Ciega, Boone, Cypress Creek, Plant, Robinson, Seminole, Steinbrenner, St. Petersburg, Tarpon Springs, and Wharton.
