TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS & UNITED WAY SUNCOAST TO HOST CHARACTER PLAYBOOK EXPERIENCE AT ONE BUCCANEER PLACE

Local Students Celebrate First Year of Program’s Interactive Learning
March 27, 2018 - On Thursday, March 29 at 10:00 a.m., the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and United Way Suncoast will welcome 80 local students to One Buccaneer Place for the Character Playbook Experience, a celebration of the United Way and NFL’s CharacterPlaybookTM initiative. Launched this past fall throughout Tampa Bay area middle schools through a grant from United Way, the new online course focuses on helping students develop character and engage in healthy relationships.
 
On Thursday, students from Franklin Middle School and Walker Middle School will participate in interactive learning exercises in the team’s auditorium with representatives from the Buccaneers and United Way Suncoast. The day will also include activity stations in the Buccaneers’ new indoor practice facility where students will learn about the importance of character through football.
 
Members of the media are invited to attend this event, with scheduled participation from Buccaneers players and Buccaneers Cheerleaders, United Way Suncoast, and local students.
